Integrated Trelona and Subfloor Termite Program, Berowra
An integrated termite-management program combining external Trelona monitoring stations with subfloor chemical treatment and targeted treatment of termite-affected trees.
Supporting photos from Goliath field work
These genuine Goliath field photographs were selected to match the treatment method and property conditions discussed in this project.

What shaped the treatment plan
- The property required more than one termite-management method because risks existed around the building and in surrounding external areas.
- External monitoring provided a way to track termite pressure around the structure.
- Accessible subfloor areas and termite-affected trees required separate treatment methods within the overall program.
How the project was approached
- Installed a Trelona monitoring network around the property at suitable accessible locations.
- Completed chemical treatment to accessible subfloor foundation and soil areas included in the scope.
- Treated identified termite-affected trees separately and documented the different follow-up requirements for the building and external tree treatment.
What this project demonstrates
This project shows why some properties need an integrated approach. Monitoring around the building, subfloor treatment and work to termite-affected trees served different purposes and therefore required different follow-up intervals within the overall management program.
Ongoing management matters
Integrated programs rely on scheduled monitoring and regular whole-property termite inspections. External tree treatments and the main structure can have different review intervals and warranty conditions.
